CHRISTMAS CARD 2014

I love the Christmas cards we sent out this year.
Even though they were basically a disaster.
I bought really expensive, fancy dresses and dolled the girls up for a shoot.
Rob sprinkled snow on their heads while I frantically clicked the camera.
Brooklyn and Lydia both decided they didn't want to smile.
The below was the best of the 30+ I took.
But really, aren't they adorable?

CHRISTMAS IN THE PARK

I love Christmas in the park! The first time I was introduced to this magical experience was while Rob and I were dating. He bought me one of the crazy hot chocolates and held my hand while we walked through the twinkling lights. It was one of my very favorite dates with him. I love now bringing our kids and going as a family. Each year we go it is funner and funner.

^^these hot chocolates are to die for

^^we let brooklyn choose one ride. she waved and screamed every time she came around. its was adorable

And then we came home and did this for the remainder of the evening:

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS AT THE TEMPLE

This year we did a really good job of planning holiday activities and following through on attending them. Brooklyn is old enough now that she kind of understands what we are doing and why. Rob and I felt it was important to share with her why we celebrate Christmas. What better place than the Oakland temple? The lights up there are super impressive and the visitor center is filled with holiday spirit. We went on Sunday evening after church. This was the perfect holiday activity.

^^she kept saying she wanted to swim in the fountain haha

^^i love this family of mine so much!
