30 YEARS OF MARITAL BLISS

There are so many great things to celebrate lately. My mom and dad have been married THIRTY years!
On April 29, 1984 I doubt they would have ever predicted 30 years later they would be celebrating with their five kids, son in law and two grandchildren. So glad these two decided to tie the knot and become the best parents a girl could ever ask for.
We decided a surprise party with zebra hats and balloons was the way to go. When they came home they thought we were all sleeping and left Brooklyn at the kitchen table alone. When they rounded the corner we jumped out of the dining room and screamed surprise. We got them a gift certificate to a fancy Boston restaurant, Top of the Hub and a plate with little birds and their wedding date. My mom was so happy I thought she was going to cry. It was so sweet to see them happy after all these years.
Heres to thirty more mom and dad!

^^cutting the cake and a kiss-- just like 1984!

^^look at those lovebirds!

HAPPY 70TH BIRTHDAY

Happy birthday to Bob and Victoria! We are all so glad you were born 70 years ago. The siblings and spouses gathered (child free) in Vegas for some celebrating. Great time eating well, relaxing at the spa, enjoying Michael Jackson ONE and most of all, running around the strip in teeshirts with Bob and Victoria as Star Wars characters. Anything goes in Vegas.

^^spa time for the ladies!

^^i like these faces
^^she meowed in our ears and tickled our backs during this picture… it was perfect

DANCING BABY

Watching Lydia do a break dance was one of the funniest things I had ever seen. I could not have been more pleased to capture it on photo (if only I was filming!) I have looked at these pictures and laughed over and over…...

 She's kind of amazing:

EASTER WEEKEND 2014

So much has changed since Easter 2013; we didn't have Lydia yet and Brooklyn was just a tiny baby. This year, Brooklyn was a pro during the neighborhood easter egg hunt. All day she said "easter hunt, easter hunt"! She just thought it was the coolest thing. After we headed to the Campbell parade and finished the evening at the park. It was a very good day for the girls. Sunday we went to church to celebrate Jesus (the real reason for easter!) then went to Danville to enjoy Shannon's delicious cooking. It was a great Easter here. My heart was full of joy and love for my family. Holidays always make me feel grateful for all we have.
